
Our Team

Raised in Ranau and Kota Kinabalu, Neville is the technical coordinator of the Segama Programme. He has been engaging the communities in the Kinabatangan Segama landscape since 2010 in facilitating community based natural resource management and development of community-based tourism, alternative livelihoods, and provides institutional support, partnership building and fundraising with local partners as well as the Sabah Forestry Department. His particular skills include mapping and fisheries ecology.

Farah Hana Kurundi @ Jarandi is currently serving as the Project Coordinator for the Forever Segama project. As one of the newest members of the team, she supports project coordination, works closely with local communities, and contributes to ongoing initiatives across the Segama landscape.

Jarandi @ Kurundi Guramoi is a retired professional who supports on-the-ground project implementation, field coordination, and community engagement activities in the Segama landscape, working closely with local communities and project teams to ensure activities are carried out effectively. He has previously worked with Wilmar Interlamination as an Executive Manager and now uses his experience and leadership to give back to his community in the Segama landscape.

Shawn Presley Paul is a Community Engagement Officer from Kampung Upak Ulu Segama, Lahad Datu, Sabah. He has experience in cooperative management and field-based conservation work, supporting palm oil plantation mapping, GPS data collection, documentation, and community engagement. Shawn has also served as a Manager at Koperasi Mukim Segama and brings strong skills in leadership, management, and community engagement, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.

Suevernie Itin @ John is from Kampung Bukit Belacon, Segama, Lahad Datu, Sabah, and joined Forever Sabah in June 2025. She has over 12 years of experience in accounting management and office administration and now supports programme implementation and community engagement in the Segama landscape, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and community-environment initiatives.

Dr Nicola Abram has worked on landscape level socio-economic, forest conservation, and oil palm issues in Sabah since 2009. She is a widely published specialist in interdisciplinary spatial analyses and planning, focusing on human-environment linkages within landscapes, and promoting biodiversity conservation and sustainable development agendas in multi-use environments.

Rosli Jukrana, Technical Coordinator for the CBEST Plus Program, focuses on studying Orangutans and Bornean Gibbons in Sabah's village lands. With over four decades of experience rooted in the Kinabatangan river area as an Indigenous Sungai, Rosli champions cultural heritage revival and diversifying livelihoods. He preserves natural resources, connects stakeholders, and excels in community-based tourism planning, forest restoration, and GIS mapping.

Sherine joined Forever Sabah in 2023 as part of the Finance Team. With a BCom in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University, Sherine comes from a background of audit and assurance, and is currently an associate member with CPA Australia.

Colin is a tropical plant ecologist with over 25 years working experience within the forest of Borneo. He serves as the Chief Science Officer working within the areas of Forests, Climate and Carbon. He advises on forest restoration and is involved with the IUCN Red List assessments of the flora of Sabah.
